Lebanese Singer Rayan at the Rehabilitation Center

On Saturday, May 7, 2010, Lebanese singer Rayan visited the Rehabilitation center of Jeunesse Contre la Drogue – JCD in Jounieh upon their invitation. Mr. Elie Lahoud, JCD’s president, and the team were present.

Rayan spent the whole day with the drug abusers at the center, and told them about his experience with drug use in addition to his detention in Roumieh prison. He also urged them to stay away from drugs because drugs eliminate their youth and their future, and recommended that they follow-up their treatment and do not surrender and quit in order to embrace life anew. On the other hand, the drug abusers at the center shared with Rayan their problems and informed him of the reasons of their addiction.

Then, everyone had lunch and they all thanked Rayan for his visit.

Actually, this visit is the beginning of cooperation between Rayan and Jeunesse Contre la Drogue – JCD in order to raise awareness of the harmful effects of drugs. Future projects between the two parts will be announced later.
