The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime organized a training about the new strategy which was set by UNODC and responds to its mandate to develop and disseminate good practice in the field of drug dependence treatment.

The training was held in Sheraton Four Points – Le Verdun in Beirut from 14 till 18 December 2010.

Mrs. Samar Hasbini, from Beirut Association for Social Development, and Mr. Elie Lahoud, from JCD, trained 13 social activists from both NGOs and from Al Sahel Hospital.

ON this occasion, the two NGOs held a ceremony on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at JCD’s premise during which Mrs. Afifeh El Sayid, Coordinator of Woman’s affairs in the Beirut Association for Social Development, Mrs. Samar Hasbini, Head of the Health Committee at the Beirut Association for Social Development, and Mr. Elie Lahoud, JCD President, distributed the Certificates on the participants.

After the ceremony, everyone went to visit the first rehabilitation center of JCD located in Haret Sakher – Jounieh.
